We welcome you to worship with us here at St. David’s. Our worship of Word and Sacrament is firmly grounded in the Word of God.
We offer Sunday morning worship at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
We also offer Wednesday evening services during the season of Lent and a number of special services during Holy Week and at other times during the year.
"Our learning ministry provides encouragement, equipping, and support for families ... for people of all ages through Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Confirmation and Bible Studies.
From baptism we are called to grow in faith and this is an ongoing, life-long journey.
Our learning ministry provides support for families as they live out the promises they made at their children's baptism to teach their children about the Christian faith. We also provide ongoing learning opportunities for people of all ages through Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and Bible Studies.
The Sunday School is held at 9:15 AM. each Sunday. Classes exist for all levels.
They include: Nursery, Pre-School, Kindergarten, Grades 1 & 2, Grades 3 & 4, Grades 5 & 6, and Grades 7 through 9. Sunday school runs from Septebmer through May. Hope to see you there.
There is a Senior High Class and five adult classes. Other educational opportunities include: New Member classes, First communion instruction, Bible study groups, Adult Sunday School Class (meets year-round), The Busy Hands womens group (meets the Third Thursday of each month).
At St. David's the goal of the Confirmation process is to assist families in the spiritual training of their children and youth by engaging them in a life-long journey of faith including participation in the body of Christ, the Church.
St. David's confirmation process is a "cradle-to-grave" approach partnered with families and beginning with Baptism. Parents also determine when to enroll their child in the Sunday School program, when to conduct instruction for their child's First Communion, and when to participate in the formal Confirmation training offered usually to 7th and 8th grades.
The Confirmation training is centerd on six Core Courses (The Ten Commandments, The Lord's Prayer, The Apostles' Creed, The Sacraments, Worship, and Church History). Two of the Core Courses (The Lord's Prayer and Worship) are offered as weekend retreats, usually in conjuction with another congregation.
Each student in the program is expected to attain Christian Life and Service credits which emphasize fellowship and service within the congregation and community. A week-long Confirmation Camp is attended in June following the 7th grade year (normally after the first year of the formal process) where the potential for growing in the Christian faith, learning the basic themes of the Bible, and developing Christian friendships are realized through all the fun activities at camp and from the team of pastors teaching the lessons!
We invite you to actively partner with St. David's in this process! We are certain that you and your family will be greatly blessed! We know we will!
VBS is held in June each summer. We offer activities for children in preschool through the completion of the fifth grade.
We encourage our youth (6th - 12th grade) to serve as helpers and crew leaders. This is a great opportunity for the youth to share their faith while developing leadership skills. Many of our VBS adult leaders have been leading VBS for a number of years.
We hope you will join in the fun, learning and fellowship this summer!
