Music

St. David's offers many opportunities for you to use your musical gifts to the glory of God.

Adult Choir

The Adult Choir of St. David’s Lutheran Church is a volunteer group open to anyone High School age and older.

The choir rehearses each Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm from September through May (7:30 pm during Lent) and leads the 10:30 am Worship Service during that time. The choir also sings at the Christmas Eve, Easter and Reformation Services.

We welcome you to join the choir to sing God’s praises and “make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth…” (Psalms 98:4)

Youth Choir

St. David’s children Pre-K through High School, with the help of their Sunday School teachers, learn songs and hymns and use rhythm instruments as a way of praising God.

The children learn music during Sunday School at 9:15 am from September through May. They sing several times a year at the 10:30 am Worship Service, including Christmas Eve and Easter.

Bell Choir

St. David’s Lutheran Church Bell Choir is currently only active during special occasions. The membership ranges in age from seventh grade through adults.

This is a skill anyone can learn though it does require a commitment to rehearsal time and performance as each person is an integral part of the whole. Playing bells is a lot of fun. We welcome new members.

Other Opportunities for Music Ministry

There are also many opportunities for vocal soloists and instrumentalists to lead our Worship Services. If you love to sing but can not commit to weekly rehearsals, perhaps you could sing a solo at either the 8:00am or 10:30am Worship Service, or sing the musical parts of the Liturgy.

We have talented people who play the clarinet, violin, flute, piano and would welcome other instrumentalists such as trumpet, guitar, French horn, and others. Let us know about your special gifts!
